First, let me give gratitude. Let me give gratitude towards all who wrote letters, to all who marched, and all who put themselves out there for justice, for it was you who risked your selves to represent the unspoken majority.

Let me give gratitude to all the mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, partners and loved ones, along with the greatest of friends who held us up in the face of persecution, for without your support for those on the front lines in the ‘War On Drugs’ there is no foundation on which activists stand strong.

Let me give thanks to all the patients, smokers, tokers, blunt-rolling, bowl-packing, budder-cooking, soil-hauling, guerrilla-growing caregivers, growers, dealers, teachers, garden store and hydro shop employees, mentors and patients who kept it so real along the way. True love for this plant and one another is what kept this community strong. An unspoken bond and unwritten code of ethics and rules along with ones word is what helped us all along, and it is the same set of principals that will keep us strong in the face of a growing faceless corporate canna-space.

Let me give gratitude to the community leaders and politicians who had the courage to finally speak out against the injustice of destroying lives and families because of a plant.

Finally, let me thank you, for continuing to fight for justice, equity, peace, and good herb. Without a strong contingent of discerning heads with righteous attitudes, we can keep the heritage and culture of ganja strong as we continue this movement out of the shadows and into the light.

I hope to see you soon.
